What good is a good system in a lousy room?....What good is a good room with a lousy system...can't make chicken soup out of chicken SH*T. What good is a good system in a good room with lousy music? What good is a good system in a good room, with good music with BAD ears? What good is a good system, in a good room, with good music, with good ears, but a small penis?
WOW!!! What words of wisdom from the peanut gallery. Please, lay off the sauce before you ramble on with other senseless replies. Doesn't AA have a forum where you can join in?
I too have been looking at those panels from ATS.
I was wondering if you could confirm whether these panels have a wooden back or not and how did you fastened them to the wall?
thanks
Michele
Yes, they do come with a wooden back. They can also be ordered with an open back. They have 2 pre drilled holes & come with proper length nails that make them super easy to mount. I had them up in less than a minute. The construction is excellent & they do perform as advertised. Their fabric selection is also pretty good. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply,
Yes it does help. All I have to do is decide between 2in or 4in...
I your room large?
Michele
My room is fairly large at 13x32ft. This is my set up so far. I have (1) 2'x4'x6" monster bass trap from GIK Acoustics, (1) 2'x4'x4", & (3) 2'x2'x4" absorption panels all from ATS acoustics & (2) corner traps from Echo Busters. The sound improvements were quite remarkable. I recommend you get started on your room. All panels are on the (13') front wall behind my main speakers
Cheers,
Phil
I is indeed a nice size room. My problem is the ceiling, I need to care for that first I think.
my room
Thanks
Michele
ps: any chances you could post a pic or two?
Pears, this is the most intelligent response I have ever read to one of DUP's posts. Forgive him. He has Wurlitzers and Van Alstines. Like Grendel, he wanders slavering in the moors, seeking bliss he can never know. I agree with you. Mess with the room first. But, the other stuff matters, too... The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single martini.
