what are teh difference between what's in there and what these new magic wires will do, of course you have complete specs on both so it's easy to know what is different, or just a nice ad about some magic wire and some mystical bizzare audio magic? What's wrong with the ones in the arm now? Broken, shorted...are they frozen or heated improperly...wrong twist of a magic insulation?

Nice arm....

Is it possible you are dealing with a local dealer that would allow you to give the Cardas a listen?

Dup,i bet you never brought at home a native Indian to perform the ritual "sound dance" for you.Yeah,i know i got your attention now. But,there is a slight problem. He will only attend if you have something like a Sun 2a3 at home
Seriously now,i love to experiment ! You know me by now.

Hi Mikeymad

Thanks for your comments.Unfortunately, such ummmmm "analoque strange stuff" i can only get through the net.Usually either from musicdirect, elusive discs or acoustic sounds. That is where i purchase all my brand new lps as well as some accessories.

Bummer. I am not sure then. I would check into the return policy of any dealer you go with (talk to someone helps as well). It is only a little of a 100 bucks, but still you could buy a small pile of new tunes for that.

I have heard a couple of TT with Cardas cables. They sounded good, but I didn't A/B anything, or spent a lot of time critical listening. I was not disapointed with the sound though. I would have to have something wrong going on to pull my Linn apart.

So no clear cut advice. If you can find someone with a good return policy. Then I would give them a try. If you are going to be out only $10-$20 if they are not to your liking, it might be worth it.

Naah,it's not worth it.If i actually make a purchase,it would cost me less lol . $116 + $25 transp.=141 + 10% import duty = 155 + 15% v.a.t. = 183 + 50 to return it (cost from here to US is far greater)= 233 less the actual purchase price of $116 (if i return it)=117 rotfl Better i keep it.

Checkout the latest Audio Advisor cata-blog. Cardas WOOD..V-Groove magic wood. $62 for 8 pieces of WOOD!!!!! and they are about 2" pieces!!!!!!!They lift teh speaker wires off eeh floor!!!!! Of course this makes things sound better cus' you know those evil floor disturbances acting of a piece of wire!! And no, I ain't tried them, and YES I do know that is an entire bunch of nonsense not trying them!!! Of course it's SPECIAL WOOD. It's MyrtleWOOD.....21st century oil. Is there any way to measure the effects of a piece of wire 2" off my wood floor, held up by another piece of WOOD!!! Come on. I may be DUMB but there is no way dudes. I think they should sell a lift for the lift...keep the wood blocks lifted off the blocks...kinda like nonsense SQUARED

There are those who think everything sounds the same. Go with what you hear. Were I in your shoes I would get the wires. I routinely drop $100 bucks on 2 bottles of Champagne with nothing to show the next morning but empty bottles. At least you will have the wires in the morning.

The last time it was Veuve Clicquot. I buy a lot of Moet. Next time I will be trying Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon. When I'm on the cheap I buy Moet White Star.

DUP I saw those blocks, and have to agree that a 62$ wood block is moronic if you simply want sonic benefits. even assuming it is a valid tweak, you can find myrtlewood blocks on ebay for far far less.

sorry OP, for the thread hijack

Or drink lotsa $3 champaign, soon what ever it sounds like don't matter. What happens if your WOOD blocks get termites, is it then considered an "active" component. They are active in there. What exactly does Myrtle WOOD sound like compared to just non audiophile OAK? And why does an extra 2" help? .....Raising it off the floor I mean, 2inches.
