I forgot to log in............above. Who else would hope for some AVA to come next?
Yup, the Whispers are there...and no, I'm not gonna spill the beans.
Now, you've done it, Monty. Another 6 months of DUP's blank verse. I hope Bolin lashed it up with some baked and frozen wire, so DUP can finally be compelled to upgrade his Walmart zip cord. Or does he use braided paper clips? DUP, I hear the zinc coating does wonders for RF rejection.
Don't see Aug issue yet, not here. It's PartsExpress SOUNDKING 12 ga...the choice of those who know. If I had a 300 + run then maybe wire matters, not for this short distances. And certainly not at AUDIO freqs. We don't need no stinkin' magic wire. Current needs COPPER, that's the basic rule, all else is fla fla foo foo.
The new Stereophile is in, the new STEREOPHILE is in!!!! Look ma, I'm somebody, I'm in the pages of STEREOPHILE. 4200Watts and all!! Soon gonna up to 4800 gonna swap out the 2 900 Watter each monos (DH500 VanAlstine/Hafler OMEGASTAR EX, to a another pair of 1200+ OmegaStarEX P500Hafler PRO VanAlstine Hafler REBUILDS. Waiting for the second one to come back. Got one of em, sent out 2 more keep one for a spare, but never had a VanAlstine/Hafler failure ever. WHISPERS, J.A. did a real great write up, COOL!!!! Gotta read it completly now, compare Paul bolin results to the ones here.....
The Whisper review is one of the best written reviews I have read in a long time. Given the limited ability for a complete set of measurements, PB must have been given the green light for a few more words on them.
Of course, it always helps when the reviewer uses music that I can relate to in describing the component.
I'm gonna get some 10Ga. speaker cord and see if I can notice a difference. John mentioned the 12ga. may be a limiting factor, very possible, when they demand some fast current demands when cranked!!! The 4 OHM Whispers suck some current when cranked, as we see when the cooling fans kick in on the 4 amps, blowing lotsa heat (wasted energy!!!) It will be some Parts Express SoundKing 10ga. most likely...flexible, never oxidizes, and most of all priced for mortals. Again, cool article, it was fun. Shoulda' mentioned the VanAlstine electronics driving them though..the AVA has a BIG effect on the WHISPERS great sound
I just keep reading MY name in the pages of StereoPhilek look honey, I'm in print...does it make you horney baby. Look, they say ME and my WHISPERS...are you getting hot? Hey baby, check out how they talk about MY frequency RESPONSE, see that's Me in them thare pages....all about me and my WOOFERS...Where was StereoPhile when was a teen and needed help getting the babes, my woofer was a lot smaller then, 15" now, only like 10 inches back then..hey baby, wanna see my WHISPER article, wanna come on over and hear them? Hey babe, wanna see my SERIAL numbers in PRINT, now look, see, those are MINE, see the back of my WHISPER, yeah, right there, a little lower...
I still think they should have used the picture of you in your socks for the magazine.
