Personally,i like Uchida's playing.It is a matter of matter.
Each one of us has different tastes especially regarding classical music where not only one has his/hers favorite composers and plays but the composer who "gets inside" him/her as well. This is exactly the reason i preffer James Levine's interpretation of Wagner's "The Ring" over Soltis and yes,i have the both and also,it is the same reason i do not like Karajan than much,although i have to admit it,on certain "pieces" he is great !
