I have used two digital amps, the first a homemade affair made with the Tripath 6 watt chipset...sounded quite good in my system but lacked some bass wieght (not surprising), the second a cheap Teac amp using the 30 watt Tripath chipset, this sounded very, very good as well but ended up powering my patio speakers...it just didn't seem to flesh out the music like my DHT PP amp does. one thing for sure digital is coming on fast and will soon be vying for top dog. as far as bang for the buck the digital stuff out there already slays anything in sight! regards, tony
