I am not sure of the tonearm except for the twist lock connector for a "universal headshell". From the picture it looks as if it is a medium mass tone arm. Is the collar on the arm movable? If so it is possible that sliding it back and forth could be used as a mass adjuster. I have an old Micro Seiki TT that has a sliding weight on the arm for adjusting mass. You need a headshell first. Try www.needledoctor.com for headshells and cartridges. Once you have a headshell virtually any cartridge except P-mounts will work.

It allows you to adjust the mass that the cartridge is working with. Some cartridges work better with lower mass tone arms some with high mass. The weight on the arm tube is adjusted for best tracking and resistance to warp effects. This is easy to see by watching the movement of the stylus cantilever. When playing a record you don't want to see any flexing. A warped record will demonstrate this better. Adjusting the mass at the headshell with the weight to lessen cantilever flexing will produce the best sound and provide better tracking. Of course badly warped records need more help than a mass adjustment. Mike Fremer can probably explain this better than I.
