Audioquest Type 4 if you are using them in a small room and don't need to fatten the bass. Audioquest Type 6 if you need to try and deepen the bass a bit.
If you are considering buying used cable, keep an eye out for a used run of Audioquest Argent. It's similar to Type 6, with a smoother top end. The Type 4 works great with entry level gear...very resolving with a slight amount of warmth that can take the edge off of siblance. You get similar characteristics with the Type 6, but with a little deeper bass and an extended treble.
SoundKing 12GA from www.partsexpress.com Works great, flexible, don't turn green over time like some overpriced over hyped brand I've seen, AND nothing magical, mystical, or other unexplainable boogity boogity sonic mysticisims. Have you diagnosed your crystal structure lately?
Is there any difference between that and the 12gauge oxygen free in-wall speaker wire I bought from Home Depot? There is not much witchcraft going on in isle 9!
John
12 ga is 12 guage, it's all about current carrying abilty, not mystical crystal electron jumping nonsense. If it don't turn green in a year, it's good stuff. soundKing stays bright and shiny, green is oxidation, not good, this will eventually cause problems. And it's not strand jumping, electron impinging BS, it's basic chemistry, oxidation means poor connection, high contact resistance simple concept. Check the wire in a year and see how it helf up. I've seen brand name stuff be all green, useless, behind the clear insulation. So far SoundKing has remained clean and shinny for several years now. Who ever makes it for them, does it right. There are only a few actual makers of wire, others are the marketers, and makers of slick colorful ads.
stayed in signapore and bought B&W 603 recently.
B&W authorized dealer in singpaore told me that B&W actually recommendeds cable called Pristine cable.
All their demo rooms are equiped with Pristine cable. (even with B&W 800 series).
They claimed that Pristine cable is designed purely for B&W speakers...
Kimber 4TC and 8TC are well reviewed and reasonably priced.
