I talked to Frank & he suggested the OmegaStar 440EX would be a perfect fit for my system. He actually talked me out of his more expensive FetValve 550 amp. Kind of refreshing to come across that type of recommendation. Hopefully it should be here right after Easter. Can't wait!!
Frank is a cool dude, knows his stuff, makes GREAT stuff, and is honest. Been at it for 40 years, he knows audio ckts...I use 2 AVA OmegaStar EX Hafler P500 (1200W each in mono) he rebuilt to modern fast 800V/us new MOSFETS ckts new boards and 2 AVA/Hafler DH500 for mids)about 900W RMS mono) Mono through 2 of AVA Ultra Hybrid phase inverters, from an Ultra hybrid EC pre amp w remote and phono too, and an Omega DAC And an OmegaStar EX Dyna PAT5 as extra input capacity......STUPENDOUS sound driving my Legacy WHISPERS www.legacyaudio.com I have had AVA stuff for over 10 years from Omega III on up, NEVER had a problem with any of them ever, flawless prformance, superb incredible sound.
