My Halo pre-amp lacks a sub-woofer out. Is there any method of connecting a sub-woofer that lacks the speaker binding posts to my amp or pre-amp. There is a M&K subwoofer being auctioned on e-bay that caught my attention. However, the ad clearly stated that only RCA type connectors were supported by the subwoofer.

Is it possible to use the amp outs on the pre-amp to connect to the subwoofer and then connect the subwoofer to the amp via the pre-amp in. Do subwoofers have a hi-pass filter that would catch the low signals and pass the midrange/twweter signals to the amp? After you get off the floor from laughing at my question perhaps someone would set me straight.

Actually, there are quite a few with those kinds of connections. In addition, there are external boxes which can do this even more flexibly. There are electronic crossovers, the Velodyne SMS-1 EQ/crossover and the Outlaw ICBM.

That should work.

I'd recommend contacting M&K about that.
