Poor sap. I can feel his pain. Obviously only his system/setup, and I suspect room would have done justice to a review.
Syrupy? Buddha's gonna have a field day with this one!

Man, when a reviewer concludes that a component is "state of the art" and somebody still finds the need to take issue with the reviewer for not liking it even more...well, I mean really?
BTW, I love Simaudio...just love 'em, love 'em!
I think its fine to evaluate high value components as stand alone... probably even more appropriate to do so ....
Not every potential buyer would be in the market for CD Player + Amp + Pre amp at the same time.... and then be willing to buy all from a single manuafacturer...
Hi,
I just now finished reading your comments in the Stereophile forum and I agree totally that all of the Simaudio pieces should have been reviewed together (yes there is absolutely something to synergy within the same brand) and I especially agree regarding your observatins of the B&W speakers as I actually went to audition the 802D speakers and even found them a bit recessed in the mid range. I DID find someone who reviewed all three pieces here.
Would you be kind enough to tell me where you acquired the new Simaudio pieces and what kind of discount the dealer gave since you bought the Andromeda, P-8 and W-8 fairly close in time together? Thanks!
