Not sure the title, but Chesky has a DVD-A that is by the Conga Kings that may fill the bill.

There is one track on the Chesky Ultimate DVD that I have, which has outstanding sonics. I don't now if the same disc is available on redbook, but the 4.0 DVD-A track sounds fabulous in my room.

Just to be more precise:

Look for an audiophile quality CD of solo Conga Drums or Drum Kit.

A kind of cxciting CD with lifelike power and dynamic range! Non-classical, non-Chinese.

Looking for more replies!

Here is a link to a Conga Kings CD at Chesky. It does not look like the track on my DVD-A is on this disc, but they do have samples that you can try. Being that it is on Chesky, its virtually assured that the sonics will be first rate.
