"Headhunters" by Herbie Hancock.
Here are a couple of my picks.
Geri Allen - The Life of Song (Telarc hybrid SACD)
Benjamin Herman plays Jaki Byard (A-Records hybrid SACD)
Vijay Iyer - Blood Sutra (Artist House hybrid SACD)
Here's a couple of recently acquired discs I've found "enjoyable"!
Land Of Giants - Mcoy Tyner, Bobby Hutcherson, Charnett Moffett, Eric Harland (Telarc Surround SACD)
Portraits - Clark Terry (Chesky Records Surround SACD)

I have both the McCoy Tyner and Clark Terry disc as conventional 2 channel CDs and they are both very enjoyable recordings.
Good picks!
Michel Camilo Solo Telarc SACD Piano is stunning
Diana Krall Live in Paris SACD and DVD is fun to watch and hear.
Warren Bernhardt Amelia's Song. DMP. I had to switch the center and right channels to put the piano in the center, MY preferred position. Great recording.
I have Michel Camilo - Triangulo - Telarc SACD and although the sonics are typical Telarc quality I was a bit dissapointed in the performance. I'm going to trust your recommendation as I have been a fan of Michels' older works.
Her "Live At The Montreal Jazz Festival" is also fun to watch and hear. More raw than "Live In Paris" and includes more recent original compositions from her "Girl In The Other Room" release.
Also great on DVD is Lee Ritenours' recent release "Overtime". A two disc set with an all star supporting cast, shot in Hi-Def with pretty darn good sound.
Lastly....The Gene Harris Quartet - "Listen Here" Concord SACD Multichannel Hybrid.
Gene Harris - piano
Ron Eschete - guitar
Ray Brown - bass
Jeff Hamilton - drums
This one's tasty and highly recommended

Hmmmmm Two discs i find myself playing again and again, both in sacd format is "Eden Atwood-This is allways" and "Henry Mancini-Ultimate Mancini"
My daughter, Erin, from CT sent me a Bruce Hornsby DVD of Three Nights on the Town with the NoiseMakers in 5.1 dolby dig. I have always been a BH fan and this disc is great fun listening to Bruce talk about his work and the audio is great. The dude can play and I was unaware that he graduated from Miami with a music degree in Jazz. The side trip through Steinway was very nice as well. Very cool. If you get a chance, enjoy.
What a great thread - I have never listened to jazz on my multi channel system. Thanks for all the great ideas!
