Well, I haven't listened to Songs in the Key Of Life much in the last 30 years, and contemporary R&B IS empty and lifeless...
Here's the part I found really interesting: The Guardian almost spends more time describing what albums are ("clumps of songs") than defending its choices.
Lists are lists, and we could all make one or two up," I'm sure. I really don't have a problem with that particular list. I did scratch my head at the first sentence following The Who's appearance on that list. ""Alongside the equally influential Small Faces......"" Excuse me? Small Faces was a great band", but they weren't The Who.I just had to find something to nit-pick about, didn't I?
