The Romantic Bundle

It is November 14th, and it's hot as heck outside. I wonder how many polar bears just died. That's not funny. The arctic is vanishing, the oceans are rising, we have brown clouds in the sky. Awesome. We are doomed. Screw it. Let's buy some vinyl!

It may not feel like Christmas is right around the corner, but what the hey, that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy the great sweep of holiday sales. Light In The Attic specializes in vinyl reissues of obscure recordings and lost classics from around the world—garage rock, psychedelic, tropicalia, punk, funk, soul, folk, all good stuff. They are one of my favorites, and they're having their first ever holiday sale.

The first Annual LITA Holiday Sale started just a couple days ago. You have until December 31st to hook up. The "Holiday-Ready Bundle Packs" sound especially promising. There is the Ladies of LITA vs. Vampi Vixens Bundle, the Vampi Goes to Africa Bundle, the Social Commentary Bundle.

I, however, am most interested in the Romantic Bundle. Ooh la la.

Wow. Thanks for introducing me to Light in the Attic. I can't believe I haven't come across these awesome reissues before (maybe they need to work on their distribution as I don't think I've seen any of these albums in stores). I seemed to have missed out on the vinyl copies of Rodriguez. Have you listened to any of the vinyl of the Summer Records albums?

A shame you missed out on the Rodriguez LP, Brad. It sold out pretty fast, which, I guess, is a good thing. Keep checking back at LITA. They may run it again. I've seen several of the LITA titles in stores, both small indies and large chains, but always only in small numbers.I haven't heard any of the Summer Records yet.

I ordered the Noel Ellis album, the Orlando Julius album and the King Records 7-inch box set. Thanks again for the tip.
