"So, what am I looking at?" she asked.
That's the Fatman iTube vacuum tube amp and docking station for your iPod. It's pretty cool, right?

"It's ugly."
Ugly?

"Yeah, I mean look at that metal bar holding the iPod in place, and why do the tubes have to stick out like that, and what's that big black thing to the left of the tubes? What is that thing? What am I supposed to do with it, and where am I supposed to put it???"
Interesting.

"Here: This looks interesting to me."

That's beautiful," aside from the iPod references that is almost exactly what my wife said when I showed her a picture of a tube amp. Put the tube cage on and really watch the comments fly. It did have an interesting paradox of ""old school"" tube amp styling with the ""new school"" styling of the iPod. Personally I like it more than the ""new school"" products above.
