Hi all,
I just bought a Yamaha AX-596, and was wondering which loudspeakers would fit the best (or otherwise what kind of characteristics I have to look for in a pair of speakers).
Also, considering my quite limited budget, would you recommend a set of second-hand (and therefore older) speakers?

Well this is it, the holy grail which we audiophiles all claim to aim for, namely the sound of live music. And in this case it's one of the living legends of music of the past century who is performing live this week with his 15 piece big band at Iridium in New York City. I'll be there for the first set (and maybe more) on Friday night, where will you be?

This forum has hurt my marriage.

My wife actually starts to get frustrated about ten days into my "Did Stereophile come yet?" questions when I get home from work.

Typical night on day one through seven:

Me: "Honey! I'm home!"

Wife: "Hi, dear, how was your day?"

Me: "Did Sterophile come yet?"

Wife: No, sweetie, not yet."

Me: Honey! I'm home! Did Stereophile come yet?"

I have equipment in for repair with the Stanalog company. They sell and service well tempered turtables. The owner George Stanwick has not gotten back to me about the status of my repair in over 3 months. I sent him a large deposit too. So he has my tonearm and my money and I CAN NOT REACH HIM THROUGH PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS. I am totally frustrated and I want to know if anyone else is having problems with him and do they have any suggestions for me.
