TMA US Distribution Set

Embattled audio brand TAG McLaren Audio is showing more signs of life since hitting the ropes earlier this summer. After completing "a full strategic review of its participation in the audio market," the company had announced a re-focused effort to continue.

As part of that new effort, the company announced last week that Ball Marketing Group has now been formed to distribute home entertainment products, including those from the revived TMA. A company announcement states, "In light of the recently announced TMA strategic review, the brand's exclusive US distribution, sales, and marketing rights have been granted to Ball Marketing Group. The new firm will operate from current TMA facilities in California, and all current staff, including technical specialist Gary Barker, will be retained."

The new distribution company, which was exhibiting at this past weekend's CEDIA conference in Indianapolis, will be headed by Bruce Ball, who has also handled products in the US for Benz Micro, Primare Electronics, TARA Labs, Gryphon, BB Audio, and Ultralink. Most recently, Ball was vice president of marketing and sales for Ultralink/XLO Products.

TMA's Dr. Udo Zucker comments, "I wouldn't know a better and more promising outcome of our strategic review concerning TMA." The company's Colin Harrison adds, "In working with Bruce and his US group over the last 10 months, I have been inspired by their dedication, commitment, and energy in bringing on new reps and dealers, along with establishing wider brand recognition for our products."
