The Canadians Are Coming

French-speaking Canada's premier A/V, home theater, and new technologies publication, Quebec Audio-Video has once again offered its readers an opportunity to attend Home Entertainment 2002 in New York City for free! Franco Moggia, editor of Quebec Audio-Video, says, "After the tragic events of September 11, we had to support our American friends and colleagues by repeating last year's contest."

First prize is an all-expenses-paid trip for two to New York that includes airfare and hotel accommodations for two nights during the Show, plus free admission to the event. The first prize winners this year are Robert Lavertu and his companion, Michelle Potevin, from the city of St. Hubert.

The second-prize winner, John Vasilikakis, is from the city of St-Leonard; he will receive four tickets to Domaine Forget concert hall plus accommodations at the Auberge de nos Aieux Inn, located in the scenic Charlevoix region on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, approximately an hour's drive from Quebec.

Co-sponsored by Home Theater, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, Stereophile, and Audio Video Interiors magazines, HE 2002 is expected to once again draw an audience of over 15,000 people who will come to see and hear the latest home-audio and home-theater products from over 200 exhibitors in 80 demo rooms.

HE 2002 promises to be the biggest and most comprehensive collection of innovative products the consumer electronics industry has to offer. Educational seminars and live musical performances, along with some surprises, offer something for everyone at this annual event.

The popular Home Entertainment 2002 Seminar Forum will present leading authorities in the areas of sound reproduction and home theater. Seminars will cover a variety of topics, ranging from DVD-Audio and SACD to the art of designing your own home-theater environment. In addition, there will be live musical performances from popular jazz, contemporary, and classical recording artists daily during the show.

Moggia said, "Quebec Audio-Video, the official 2002 magazine of the new Montreal Electronics and New Technologies Show, is and will continue to be a leader and catalyst [within the industry], so it may satisfy music-lovers, videophiles, audiophiles, and consumers from all walks of life, who are our raison d'être."
