HE 2001 Seminar Schedule Set

Consumers attending the Home Entertainment 2001 Show in NYC, May 11–13, 2001, will have a unique opportunity to speak with and learn from the home entertainment industry's leading experts. As part of the three-day audio and video extravaganza, the Show will offer educational seminars and panel discussions—included with the admission ticket price on a first come, first served basis. This is a rare opportunity for consumers to meet with legendary industry journalists, manufacturers, dealers, and others.

Home Entertainment 2001 is co-sponsored by Stereophile, Home Theater, and Stereophile Guide to Home Theater magazines. Film buffs will flock to a special presentation that offers an in-depth look at how Sony Pictures Digital Studios produced the new Lawrence of Arabia DVD. This 1962 Oscar-winning classic, directed by David Lean and considered one of the greatest films ever made, posed a number of challenges before it could be brought to disc. Sony Pictures experts in restoration, authoring, and HD transfer will be on hand to provide a multimedia presentation covering everything from color correction and sound remixing to the search for lost footage.
