Editor: Hindsight is a wonderful thing, especially where loudspeakers and rooms are concerned!

Paul Messenger seemed to love his time with the Grande Utopia Be at our HQ in St. Etienne, so much so that we immediately encouraged him to try the speaker at home.

It is such a great shame that Paul's enjoyment should be limited by problems between his room and the GUBe. It's an exceptionally precise and sensitive musical instrument, but nevertheless one that we have had great results with in rooms large and small. Normally with this speaker, we—and, in the case of the consumer, our dealers—would spend some time tuning the GUBe to the particular room. For whatever reason, in this case that hasn't happened.

It would seem to me that we have had one great experience in France, and one in the UK that didn't reach its full potential. So it's over to the US. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you, Mr. Editor, to have the deciding hand by experiencing the stunning performance of the Grande Utopia Be for yourself in a room of your choice.

A third session will both allow the GUBe to prove its case as a landmark in loudspeaker performance, and will also give further insight into Paul's experiences to date for your readers.
