I looked at the percentage method for 2009 vs. 2010 and the change is immaterial. I wouldn't recommend changing your W4 just yet. I've seen people fool around too much and end up having to make quarterly income tax payments as penalty on top of the pay period withholding amount. There is nothing in the 16th Amendment that prevents the federal government from borrowing money from you while you work. Of course, the federal government gets to collect the interest and you don't. I know a thing or two about extortion.

You're preaching to the choir but that is exactly what withholding is all about. I would rather they borrow my money than raise the tax rate. It's the less of two evils. We have to pay for all that money we wasted the last year. How are we going to raise that kind of money. Only working people make money. The other side will bitch and moan about the 5% of Americans that hold all the wealth but when it comes to raising cash for the government it is the middle-class that gets hit the hardest. Why? Because we work our asses off so the poor can get rebates and credits from the government. There are not enough "rich" people in America to cover that sort of cost let alone the amount of money we flushed down the toilet the last year. It's a shit sandwich and everyday we take another bite. The government is going to take an extraordinary bite out of the working class's ass the next few years. It's just getting started. I'm still scratching my head how they are going to collect fines from the poor that refuse to pay for health care insurance premiums. Health care premiums? They don't even begin to understand the responsibility of carrying insurance. That is why the middle class has to carry uninsured motorists insurance. You starting to see what is going to be next. We are going to pay for medically uninsured fucking losers insurance. One thing I do like about European mentality. If the government really wants to save money they should arm the poor so the middle class can take them out for good. Just my opinion.
