Alan-
You should have received it a week or two ago. I live in Schaumburg (Northwest Suburbs.) and have mine in hand.
I received my November issue about 20 October...you should have seen it by now. I'd call customer service. Those folk are pretty good.
On the occasions when I've had a missing issue and I call them they say "sorry fresh out we'll extend your subscription by one issue." Then I'm forced to go and buy it on a news stand for many, many times the subscription price. The problem that I have with that is that they can't be out because Stereophile has back issues for sale. As an aside I believe there is some separation between Stereophile and the people that fulfill the subscriptions.
Yes, there is a separation between the edit staff and the subscription people. I always hate to hear when subscribers are having trouble receiving their issues. If ever the subs people can't help, please let us know.
And just to complete the picture, back issue sales are handled by a_third_ separate company, who also does the fulfillment for Stereophile CD sales.
Amen to that thought.

What is strange though is that its not in any of the local Barnes & nobles or Borders
It's not really strange considering that we are at the end of the November issue's life cycle, with the December issue already reaching subscribers and newsstands. Mass-market stores like these tend to under-order so that they do not have stock of one issue left when the next issue arrives, so I suspect they sold out of the November issue perhaps more than a week ago. High-end newsstands might have stock remaining, however.
But I will let our newsstand sales rep know that some Chicagoland Barnes & Noble and Borders stores should perhaps be ordering more copies of each issue. I would appreciate it if you could email me the addresses of the specific stores, therefore.

It never got there.
I visit either B&N or Borders 3/4 times a week and at no time has this issue been in stock.
You definetly have had a distribution issue.
Thanks
