I wish most CDs came in album-like sleeves. I have a box under my bed full of jewel cases I never use, since 90% of my CD's are in a CD wallet.

Purchased a Helen Merril import, EmArcy MG-36006, in a cardboard cover with inner sleeve exactly like an LP. BY FAR the most user friendly CD packaging I've handled. It also takes one third of the shelf space as a jewel box. Given a choice I'd choose this packaging any time.

The ones that are a cross between cardboard sleeves and jewel cases are the best

The standard jewel box is just fine. The original clear trays were weak in the holding tab area, but that appears to be fixed now. The digi-paks with the plastic trays are ok. but the ones with the cardboard sleeves seem to scratch the disc edges, with repeated uses. I hope most of the labels stay with the plastic jewel box. The digi-pak's artwork also takes a beating, rubbing against other cds.

I prefer cardboard sleeves because they come from a renewable natural resource (trees). Unlike plastic, we do not have to rape the earth! (BOO OPEC!!!) ;) (No, I'm not a conservationlist nor an activist of any sort...it just makes common sense!!)
