what if i have only flac and mp3s...no cds. what shoudl i buy

hello people,

i am on the verge of getting a  pair of kef r900 floor standers and an ANTHEM  integrated 225 amplifier. so far so good. What im really confused about is that i have a music in flac and mp3s either on my 128gb usb pendrive and my laptop and nas hdd. i have no CDs.so what route should i take? what should i buy to play all my flac's mp3s through either the usb pendrive or laptop or Network hard drive with the best possible sound quality to compliment my kef r900 and anthem integrated 225?? nothing above 1500 to 2000$

thanks

If you already have the laptop all you would need is a USB

DAC. Plug the USB stick and NAS HD into the laptop. Find a good music player software plugin and you should be set.

I just got my sister an Audioquest Dragonfly for $250. It sounds great, it's small, and relatively simple. Plugs into laptop's USB port, and connected to the amp with an Audioquest Evergreen 3.5mm to RCA cable. There are a ton of other USB DACs available. The Ayre QB-9 is one of the better ones for a strictly USB DAC. It cost a little more, but lots of others in between. The question of which one sounds better can be debated.
