20 year old Polk RTA11s still sounding great as front L/R speakers.

My DCM TimeFrames are the oldest components in my system at this point—coming up on 20 years. I'll replace them, but only when I can spend a lot more money, as these are still best in class to my ears (and even speakers costing 2-3 times as much).

Dual turntable. Owned since 1980. No need to upgrade.

Tuners. The state of FM broadcasts are so low that it doesn't take much to get sonics better than the signal.

I have owned a Linn LP12 for 26 years. It has been serviced and update in that period but it remains the main source of music for me. During that period I have owned three CD players and my current digital source is a Levinson 37 & 360. My Cal Icon is still in service. Truly my longest standing source is my Lux T12 (28 years) but I listen to FM less than two hours a week.

I have had the same speakers since the ninties. I'm on my fifth CD/DVD player since then and my third receiver. My cables are holding up very nicely, but I swapped them out this year anyway. You can always have better cable.

I am only on my second complete system since getting the audio bug back in the late 1990s. Constant equipment swapping is for deeper pockets than mine.

FM tuners just seem to run and run. The latest upgrade is to satellite digital radio—hope the box lasts!

My Infinity SSW-212 subwoofer was one of the best purchases I've ever made and it still holds true today 10+ years later. My other Infinity speakers had rotted surrounds and had to go (they don't use foam surrounds anymore).

When I went the active speaker route, I had to buy a preamp for recording purposes (CD, MD). That pre was my first and will also be my last. With one change: cables are number 2 on my list.

Once you have the VanAlstine OmegaStar EX perfection in amplifier design, there is no need for circuit of the month changes. They hold up through the test of time

My Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck has outlasted Nakamichi and indeed the commercial viability of the cassette format. Still works fine, although I use it rarely now. Will I say this about my Sony SCD-1 ten years from now?

Speakers have stayed with me for the longest periods of time. From my AR 2axs I bought in 1970 that stayed with to about 1993—they lved with me through high school, college, Soho loft living, and too many moves to list. I replaced the ARs after they completely wore out with Snell E III

I've had the same JVC QL-A7 turntable in my system since I bought it new in 1978. And it still is going strong, even if it is one of those dreaded direct-drive models!

My oldest component is an original Oracle turntable from 1980. It still sounds great

I change my equipment very infrequently, but I still have my SOTA Star from 1988.

Buy a good turntable, maintain it and it will last forever.

Because I am enjoying music through my Quad ESL63's so much.

My cartridge keeps changing, but my Denon direct-drive TT never does.

Never changed.

CAT JL-1's seem to be holding a firm spot in my system.

Citation 12 Delux. It has worked perfectly for 35 years!
