For $40K a box to hold the CD player, speakers, amplifier, with portabilty is available, called a CAR!!! That's also got enviormental controls to keep things just right. $40K for a CD player, I'd love to see the bill of materials and break down of mfg costs for that absurdity. Now I'm baffled, which one is the best to get the Zander or teh Wadia? Both appear to be more chassis than they need be, both appear to be obsolete ckts, not universal players. Both appear to share the latest fad of too many chassis to impress and milk more money out of victims, I mean customers. Why do CD players need to be in different chassis now? EMMLABS shrunk their's down to one. Multiple boxes belong in a moving van, not making up a disc player.
