If they reviewed a product that didn't make it to the review index...err....Recommended Components List, then it must be an oversight.
I don't think they review products that don't make the list anymore.
(I'm betting on "oversight.")
JA said this about the unit:
"This is overall excellent measured performance, giving no clue to the pair of 12AU7 tubes hiding within the TL-6.5's hefty chassis."
Mr. Greenhill's conclusion:
"For all these reasons, I strongly recommend the TL-6.5 Signature. For $9500, it offers battleship reliability, faultless microprocessor control of tube operation, and extraordinary switching control
It was reviewed in our June 2007 issue, and is listed in our Class A of "Recommended Components," page 83, October 2007.
There are, in fact, recently-reviewed products that have not made our "Recommended Components" list.
Does that mean that the VTL 6.5 didn't make the recommended component list, rather than it being an oversight?
I'm not sure if I understand. It is in "Recommended Components."
Perhaps it was listed next to the 7.5. Were that the case I can understand how it may have been overlooked... the Drool blast radius around the 7.5 does tend to blanket everything in the immediate vicinity!
Ooops! My bad. I missed it.
