Video pop up adds.

Whom ever's decision it was to place video adds OVER the content frames please pull that decision.  It's just flat terrible.  I could live through the random pop-up add but this is just horrible.  The reason I read the website isn't to avoid reading the magazine, it's to compliment the reading of it when I do buy it or for the years I do get a subscription.

All this does is make me what to do neither.  I can live with adds.  It's part of the monitization of the web.  This is intrusive and a little insulting to your loyal readers.

Please stop it.

Hmm

I don't think we have a video-pop ad. Per our Web Master we do not.

It's not a popup

Sorry, it's a timed frame overlay on the home page where the pictures for each article are overlayed with an ad.

And it sucks.

Google will occasionally place a video ad in the righthand columnon our pages, but we don't do what you are describing. Could you send us a screenshot the next time this happens, please, so we know what you're having to deal with.

BTW, my son had a similar problem. It turned out he had downloaded a free "Speed up your PC" app that infected his laptop with ad windows like you are describing.

Found it

It wasn't Yontoo.  It was an adware plugin.  I deleted it across my browsers and now it's all good.

Thanks JA for the quick response!
