For a time now i've been considering buying a new stereo set. Coming from a headset hooked up on a laptop i know what a change it will be -- or maybe i don't.
Before i take this step though i will have to do some jobs and save some money. This will at least take like a half year. I will have about 1500$ available to spoil myself to hell.
Before i do this though i want to be sure what i buy, what it is capable of and how it compares to the price i pay for it. Right now my knowlegde of sound systems is nearly unexistend. This means i'll be doing some research the coming months to not end up like a brainles consumer swallowing everything the salesman tells him.
One downside of this story is that i'm not from the US, which means i can't order the stereophile magazine. In order to learn some stuff about music hardware i thought i could get myself a book. One that is made for people like me, a book that i hope exists. If an online text about this subject would exist, it would be even better, but i think that would be just to good. For the rest i will keep visiting this site and read the different product reviews.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with a title of a book, or perhaps a website url, that can tell me more about sound systems, for me specificly that would be to listen to music played back with CD's.
Thanks and have a nice holiday all,
