I have an RP3 with an Exact2 and I have a P3-24 with an Elys2 (model that preceeded the RP3). I think they are awesome tables.
Rega is known for exceptional pace, rhythm and timing. Think a punchy clean mid bass and clear, though slightly forward treble but with slightly muddy lower bass. This is worse with the Elys2 compared the the Exact2. Rega Tables are exceptional for Jazz & classical music and I feel due to the muddy lower bass, poor for R&B and hip-hop.
I had a Pro-ject Xpression with an Ortofon2M Blue very briefly and found it...underwhelming. It sounded flat compared to the Rega, particularly for Jazz.
I have never heard the Music Hall 5.1, only the 2.1. Same with VPI, I have heard other tables from them but not the Nomad. I would endorse the company as I think both make fine products though I can't speak about the exact tables in question.
I would highly recommend the Music Hall MMF-5.1.
Needle Doctor has it for $875 with a pretty good cartridge included, and it can sound even better if you want to spend a few hundred dollars on a cartridge upgrade.
