I know many Dacs now days you are able to use one of the outputs to send signal to a subwoofer. IE Nuprime Dac-9 the RCA outs can be used as a subwoofer out.

Is this possible with the T&A Dac 8?

The analog outputs are normally intended to go to a preamplifier, but there is no reason that one or both cannot be connected to a subwoofer.

You could also use the balanced preamp outs to go to a preamp, and then use the unbalanced RCA ones for the sub. That is what I do in my system.
