Sumiko Blackbird Cartridge

Just getting back into my vinyl collection. Bought a Sumiko Blackbird cartride and had it mounted. Less than 10 hours on it. The cantelever is not perpendicular to the cartridge body. It is about 20 degrees offset to the right. I don't know how it got that way. Cartridge sounds pretty good though.

My question since I am a neophyte- Will this damage my records or do I need to replace this cartridge?

Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Sumiko Blackbird Cartridge

Regardless of whether you can work around the misalignment you should return the cartridge for replacement. The amount of deviation you mention is not normal, nor acceptable.
