What version of the Sugden is it? The Sugden is likely class A amplification, so heavier, less efficient, runs warmer, and is more expensive than the other two, and to a degree with less power. Just off the top of my head, the Creek interests me among the three, but I don't have personal experience with any of them, let alone all of them. I'm not sure who would.

But take that with a grain of salt.

I've heard Creek a sum of one time and thought the gear was pretty vanilla. I don't see the point in paying Roy Hall a 100 pct markup for a piece of Shanling gear that would be up to par (or better) with a soldering iron, a few hours, 10.00 worth of capacitors and a 6 pack of beer. That leaves experience with mosfet amps biased heavily into class A, which I have quite allot of experience. I'd say it's well worth the added inefficiency, even if you have to throw some money at it.

Best of luck.

What I've heard of their amps, they may be lower powered, but they put out nice current, are musical in nature and have good PRaT.

I have been offered a Sugden A21 integrated amp and I have been lusting over a Creek 50A and a Music Hall 15.3. I am completely confused anybody got any suggestions. I am using B&W 602 S3 speakers. Help!

The review of the Sugden in Stereophile was something short of complimentary; many shortcomings.

It also does not have enough power for most speakers to produce any sort of musical dynamics, even at modest levels.

IMO it would be a mistake. Unless it is free, I would stay clear of it.

The Music Hall 15.3 is a very good amplifier, and would suit your needs quite well.

The Creek is a step up in sound quality from the 15.3, but is nearly twice the price.

You probably won't go wrong with either of them.
