Given the Onion's reputation for parody ("14 Sperm Bank Workers Drown in Tragic Spill"), I very seriously doubt many people will take this as anti-sony -- especially enough to affect their purchasing decisions.
They could have said this about any major consumer electronics company (Samsung, LG), but Sony is funnier because it is the largest and release many more products.
