some Sony SS-AR2s with Pass Lab amplification at the New York Audio Show last  year --- gotta say it was one of the few rooms that really wowed me.

I was thinking the smaller ones.

I can't park a Honda in my livingroom!

I concur. Sony's previous generation of ES speakers were special, indeed.

Years later (2012), it would appear that Sony is back in the game. I have had the pleasure of reading all avail reports up to this point in time.

The lead designer for this project is a true music lover then audiophile. His passion and Sony's clout is going to be something special (again).

Now, if only more dealers/retailers can get on-board w/ moving this product!

Take a look at the new, less expensive SS-NA2ES now featured on the top page of this website.  Very promising.

If you have $6000 to spend, I suggest that you listen to some Vandersteen Treo speakers.

IMO Sony has never made anything that even comes close to their sound quality and dynamics.

As a matter of fact NO ONE ever has as far as I can tell.

I know of only 3 speakers that are better, and they all cost WAY over $10,000.
