Thanks for the great read Kal. I just replaced my 2 channel Liuto floorstanding speakers, the speakers the Venere replaced I believe. During the first hours of listening to the Guarneri Mementos, I missed the Liutos, and if the Venere speakers are an improved version, they must be very good. I did not know SF made any speakers in white. In the right room and system, they must be very beautiful.

Even at the lower price, I think you will find more than a resemblance to the Liutos.

Thank you very much for a great review.

Very interested by the SF Venere, I was wondering whether you knew how they compare to the 3.0 (roughly speaking)? Also, what type of amp would be their best match? Would a HC receiver (e.g. Sony 1040) be sufficient to drive them? What about a (more powerful) TEAC AI2000 (or similar relatively neutral amp)? Alternatively, would you recommend going with a warmer amp (e.g. Magnat RV3)?

Those are all good questions but I am unfamiliar with all the components you mention.  I do not think that the SFs demand a warmer amp (although you might) because the Bryston I used successfully with them could hardly be described as warm.

For large orchestral music, how do these compare with the KEF Q900s? I have auditioned the KEFs and was very impressed with their stereo imaging and bass.
