Thanks DUP. Are you saying you compared them? Also, for some reason, I didn't think McIntosh was into fancy wires - but I admit I have no first hand knowledge. Are they?
Very interesting, but not surprising.
What interests me the most is the dCS now in your system. I also think that the DAC is incredibly important, particularly for enjoying CDs. My Playback Designs uses a similar approach to the dCS and Emm, so it's not surprising that we agree on this.

Compared all day and night yesterday, Alex will fill ya's in, it was GREAT!!! AVA is king of hi fi, priced for mortals. Legacy Whispers where fantastic, in BLACK. As teh Focals sit in teh rear unused...WHISPERS beat em big time, 3 pairs of ears not just me
McIntosh was never into magic wires, and yesterday it was simple RCA connectors, right length to go from here to there, some heavy speaker wires that where used I took pictures but it not in my house so I would need an OK to show em.
