I had a bit of an epiphany a few years ago when I brought my iPod shuffle while camping (backpacking/backcountry). Laying in the tent, listening to tunes, I felt that I was cheating - I love getting away and being immersed in nature and away from cars, man-made noise, etc- but I realized I really dug the music that way too. It was fantastic!

Actually, I bet the lack of a "room" is a big part of Buddha's experience. Another part is he was probably in a good mood and "open" to great music at that moment in time. Maybe, just maybe the humidity was just right as per the other recent thread. Of course analyzing moments like this destroys it so it's a good thing I wasn't there.
