Solving a problem with my Wadia 2000 DAC

i need some help and i was wondering if someone experienced here can help... I have a Wadia CD Transport WT 2000 and a Wadia 2000 digital decoding computer (DAC) that sits nicely with it. Of late, I have had a problem with the Wadia DAC. Under the Command function, when the button is pressed, it moves from "standby" mode to the "initializing" mode, and thence to the "operational" mode. All good so far, but then the "red light" moves back to the "initializing mode" and as such i cant listen to any music.

Has anyone experienced this problem before or know anyone who might have ? Can anyone help me / advise where I can go to get this fixed. I live in London...

That is a 20 year old

That is a 20 year old product. I doubt if there is any help available beyond your owners manual. I would try the connection wiring from the transport to the dac as a place to start. Check inside the connectors if possible. Check continuity with a meter if applicable. What kind of wiring (digital input) is used by this unit?

Wadia

All you have to do is physically press the button to the left of it till the 'operational' light comes on and you are good to go.

Wadia 2000 works perfectly now

thanks guys. finally got around to resolving this in August 2012. Works perfectly now. Had it serviced as well and got a warranty.
