I have never heard the PS Sprout and have no idea how it sounds.
I can tell you that the Marantz CR-510 is fabulous. I have one in my bedroom. The AMP/DAC combo feels more neutral that other Marantz products I own or have heard. Not only does it have a built in DAC, it has built in Spotify & Pandora and supports Apple AirPlay.
The Marantz CR-610 which has the same amp unit in it but has a few more features including a CD player is a recommended component here at Stereophile.
The amp itself is modest in power output so you will want a relatively efficient pair of speakers. I would suggest the Monitor Audio Silver 1 or 2 for a nice bookshelf speaker that will be easy to drive. The PSB Imagine B would also be a good option. They are both neutral and highly detailed speakers that will sound great paired with a sealed subwoofer.
Monitor Audio Silver 1 or 2 are great suggestions, depending on how you like your music to sound. If you are looking for a pair of reasonably priced bookshelf speakers with a fabulous sound that you will really enjoy for hours, and you favour a warmish sound, do yourself a favour and look at the Wharfedale - Denton 80th Anniversary Bookshelf Speakers, at Musicdirect, they are on sale for $499 and are fabulous!
