Watch...first the far left will have a hissie fit, then they will sulk while the few adults in the party work an insurance reform compromise, then, Obama will claim this is what they had in mind all along and the far left will take credit for it if it is popular, like they did the balanced budget under Clinton...They will rely on the short memory of the voter and lie like a rug between 'insurance reform' and the next election...
Right or wrong or what is said and done in the future I don't like what I've been seeing from the current administration from the moment they were let out of the gate. Obama has managed to destroy his ratings in record time. I started out with a little poking with using the same methodology of comparing him to Nazism and Fascism no different than Bush was treated. Nevertheless, it took Bush eight years to sink in the polls to record lows and it has taken Obama less than 8 months. This should be a one term president. It's an Obamanation. He sold the majority of the American People a bill-of-goods. He has yet to solve a single problem. The invisible hand of supply demand is having a hard enough time without Obama let alone with Obama. The guy couldn't reconcile a grocery store receipt.
The only thing he has going in his favor is the fact our country has 8 years of war under her belt with all the expertise that hasn't been poisoned by his dogma. In other words, he has relied on good staff already in place rather than a staff he picked out himself. Still, under his watch NATO is starting to question his strategy. I don't think he has a strategy. He is relying on tactics that have worked in the past but has spent too much time micromanaging the world to come up with a strategy for our wars. What we have is another Jimmy Carter on steroids. It is nothing to him if we end up having to leave with our tails between our legs. It would an honor for him. He will screw this up as well. He couldn't lead a pack of girls scouts out of the woods.
What we have here is a crusader. A water-walker. We elected a president with no leadership ability. We were duped by the cult-of-personality syndrome. I hoped we have learned a valuable lesson. But I doubt it.

The man isn't a deity. He can't just wave his hand and will problems away. People bitch that he isn't delivering on campaign promises this early in the game. We had eight years of poor policies under Bush, and it will take at least that long to swing back to neutral. I think it's admirable he's making an effort with healthcare. That we have so many uninsured and underinsured in this country is absolutely shameful. The sort of ignorant fear-mongering I've heard slogged at reform is nothing short of embarrassing. And to all the people who don't want socialized medicine, I suggest they recall Medicare/Medicaid. Guess what? We already have socialized medicine, but the problem is that there is a huge group of Americans who are neither old enough nor poor enough to qualify for either, yet are priced out of the gluttonous private system. I'm a dual American/Canadian citizen, and I've experienced healthcare on both sides of the border. Do I think we need the Canadian system here? Not necessarily. But I do know that what we have now is unacceptable.
Oh no, Obama had all the answers and wanted shit done right now. No excuses. His words.
That's wrong, Lamont. Obama made very clear that change would take a long time.
That is nonsense...the commies took over almost 3 years ago and not a single Bush initiative passed after that date. I might note the economy was buzzing in 2006 but crap by 2008 after 2 years of Franks, Pelosi and Reid running it..
Sure, you're correct. He started saying that on the night he was elected. Before that it was, "change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time." And of course his biggest fear,
