This calls for a "Smith-lum" declaration of jihad and fatwa against Waters, of course.

Huh? People still listen to Waters?

Big fan of Pink Floyd as a teen and listened to The Wall about 1200 times give or take. As I got older I realized that 1) the guy needed to stop whining and get a therapist, and 2) what was being said was like cartoon angst for pampered teens like I was. Oh well...guess it still works for some.

Oh yeah---and I love Elliot Smith--- and he's more grown up subtle than Floyd ever was. Odd I didn't know he was dead though. Doh!

amused to death is great...that being said, Elliot Smith is, in my opinion, much, much MUCH better. Macca/Lennon worthy songwriter, great guitarist,multi-instrumentalist..just amazing. badly missed.

I have a confession.

I have never listened to the whole Wall album.

I tried once with my wife on a trip, but it's just not my cup of meat.

I like Pink Floyd, and Comfortably Numb is cool, but the album smelled more like Roger's therapy than anything else.
