Read the PDF above post on HEARING LOSS, it explains why LOUD is where it's at. 2 parts. Facts, not magic
Once again DUP a very nice one indeed...you are good at this researching research...not sure how many folks want to listen, but hey,,,keep on keeping on!
I am too lazy to read all of those links.
At what volume do I have to listen at to overcome the effects of the Fletcher-Munson curve?
When can we bypass our defective analog portion of our hearing and connect direct digital? That way we won't have to worry about damage to our poorly designed analog ears.
As long as we have an AGC circuit that prevents the A/D from being overdriven while at the same time maximizing S/N ratio.
DDL...it's coming Direct Digital Listening. Ya plug right into the nerve connectors that have been left inside your head, during mfg. They have remained dead ended since the external connectors are still in teh proto type stages. Pretty soon, the first genration of BDC are coming out...Brain Direct Connection (tm) This type of listening will eliminate the problems found in the now obsolete use of ear drums. With DBC, we are getting much much closer to the actual musical experience. It will seem like YOU are the one playing the instruments. The competing format for DBC in ANS. Another New Standard. With the introduction of DBC Speaker mfgs are now exstinct, only cable makers and connector companies prevail....MF industrys has become the largest supplier of magic wires and brain compatible connectors. Stereophile has changed it's name to DAMN Direct Auditory Music News....this has provided for the entire Analog dept to be disbanded, TT's have been donated to the Happy Farms retirment Centre, home for obsolete listeners. Where they sit on those extremely large TT's with 3/4 HP motors and pretend to be an LP.....
That doesn't sound like a good thing.
Fletcher-Munson where frauds. Moe Larry and Curly had it first
And what about Nyquist and Shannon?
What song did they do? sounds familiar. What about Sonny and Cher? Abbott & Costello. They pioneered the Endless question
DUP, I just read your "Direct Digital Listening" post and had a good laugh. I wish more of your posts could be like this; light-hearted and satirical. Unlike some of what you write, it was inoffensive, logical, and I could follow it. You've proven to me that you can entertain yourself and others without ruffling feathers. Please continue to do so.
Thanks,
