For a phono stage I really like the Vincent Pho-8 for $299. I have had mine for several months and can't say enough good things about it. The Absolute Sound has it as a recommended component. Lots of reasons to like it including the fact that the power supply is in a separate box. The unit I think would be better would be the Musical Surroundings Phonomena II but it is $650.

I really like the Peachtree Integrated Amps you are looking at. With a built in DAC, I am not sure you can beat them. You could do another integrated amp like the Rogue Audio Sphinx and get a separate DAC like the Peachtree DAC iTx for similar pricing. The sound profile will be different. Whether or not it is better comes down to personal taste.

I have no POV on your turntable and cartridge. If the cartridge is old, I can say with confidence it needs to be replaced. Regarding what cartridge is worth getting, I would call the guys at Needledoctor, Music Direct or Audio Advisor and ask them. They deal with this stuff all the time and will be able to tell you what will be appropriate based on the type of music you listen, dynamics of the table, etc...

The Peachtree amp only has one analog input, which seems incredibly inconvenient and stupid to me.

I suggest the Musical Fidelity M3 amplifier, or the Music Hall A70.2 or the NAD C375BEE. They are all excellent; and much better than the Peachtree IMO.

The Musical Fidelity M3si is very nice-sounding and has lots of power plus a DAC and a very good phono stage included. Music Direct has it for $1500.

I used to have an M3 amp and currently use their M6PRX power amplifier; excellent sound.

Using those excellent speakers with that LP60 turntable is sort of like buying a Ferrari and then putting the cheapest tires available on it. The LP60 is 3rd-rate and not what you want in a quality home system.

I would suggest that you get a Music Hall MMF-5.1 turntable. Needle Doctor has it for $875 with a good cartridge included. That is a very good deal on a high quality turntable with a good cartridge.

If you decide to get a separate phono stage, the Musical Fidelity V90-LPS is only $229 and is excellent.

Thanks for the replies guys. After doing some more research I also came to the conclusion that the LP-60 will not be a part of this system. I'm thinking I may get started on the digital side (as my music library is vast compered to the vinyl).

I like that the DAC in the Peachtree stuff is quite the bang for the buck. I could get started with the 220SE and add the phono later.

As far as it only having one analog input, with only one turntable how does that inconvenience me? (serious question)

Thanks Again,

Dude
