Profit margins

JV rambles on about ethics? He then goes to Wal-Mart cus he must be saving a dollar on his medications, shopping at Wal-Mart is supporting a grand ethics lacking business. So JV is just a hypocrit. I've been to a Wal-Mart 2 times in my life, one to look at a price, they where $10 MORE than a K-Mart down the street.!!! Low prices, everyday, except that day? the other time, they where close to a job I was doing, they didn't have what I needed anyway. The end of the Wal Mart experience. But maybe his saving money on his purchases are OK, just cus' well, he knows what stores he should go to to save money, and the ones you should go to to be fleeced and pay too much for teh same product. Perhaps teh medication ain't working, double teh dose. Cus' something sounds real phoney in J.V. ville. When you pay too much, it has to sound better? What won't an audiophile not beleive? I've found it sounds better, teh better teh deal is, pay less, hear more. Support U.S. mfgs, buy factory direct, and get teh best procut you can for teh money, this way the ones who can't compete on price/value points will fade, and teh good mfgs and sellers remain. It's high end SOUNd reproduction, or is it just about high prices, to claim, look, my TT costs $27K, ain't i some kind of sound wiz? But it sounds like teh basic $3K one without teh high end rents you paid for.

Re: Profit margins

BTW, it occurred to me yesterday, as I was browsing the net, what an unethical, POS I really am. You know, I browse the internet with ad blocking filters installed, so I don't get ANY ads anywhere. Yet, I take advantage of all the sites that offer free content due to advertising revenue, yet, not only do I not click on the ads to 'help support the site', I don't even see the ads. I must be a leech of the first order. I think I'll go hang myself from my chandelier.

Gee, Alex, just think of the things I could say now. You continue to make everything about you. For pete's sake, man, look at how many people have told you you're wrong and who has agreed with you.

DUP, I want you to hear what I'm saying -- and I hope that you will feel what the words mean: I have loved this thread on profit margins and the relationship between the consumer and the dealer. LOVED it. It has been insightful, educational, and beyond all, it's been a wonderful example of how our forum can foster passionate, intelligent conversation, while remaining, for the most part, composed and respectful of all parties involved, despite extreme dissent. It's been amazing.

You have much to learn from it, I feel.

Sadly, one of the factors contributing to my love for this particular thread -- a tangential factor, but nonetheless meaningful -- is the fact that YOU WEREN'T INVOLVED. It occurred to me several times, in fact: "Oh how nice it is that DUP's not here to ruin this thread," I thought to myself.

Is that the impression you want to leave?

I want to qualify this: I would also welcome your participation as long as your participation is helpful, at the very least thoughtful. Instead, however, you choose to sling your off-topic, hardly coherent shit.

Why?
