USP-1 and a pair of Emotiva UPA-1s for $1000.

AFAIK no speaker known to man "needs" 150 Watts. CV speakers are usually quite efficient and will usually play quite loudly on less than 100 Watts. Wanting more power is not a bad thing. Having plenty in reserve gives an ease and effortless quality to the sound. With that said, Emotiva does give a lot for the money. The UPA-1 should have more than enough power. The USP-1 integrates well with HT/Surround systems.
Thanks both! Much appreciated. Amp and preamp are now top of my wishlist!
Sorry if I misunderstood about what the speakers need to be powered, I was going on the 'power capicity' in the specs for the speakers.
Thanks again.
