So what drive-units were you going to install, JI? And how did the speakers sound?

Those were the penny-pinching audio days, so I'm pretty sure I sourced the drivers from a Lafayette parts catalog. I thought they sounded great (at the time anyways), and in fact they're still up and running in a pal's garage in Los Osos, California.
