Hello. I am looking for a battery powered (rechargeable) portable with big sound for when going away when there is no mains power. I borrowed a friends Bose acoustic wave music system II - with a case and two rechargeable batteries and was very impressed with it - the big sound for a small portable and the battery life. I have looked everywhere, and can see NOTHING from any other manufacturer that is truly mains free portable and puts out as much volume. I would say this has to be a niche product for them. I know everyone seems to dislike Bose (I had their acoustimass speakers when I was a kid, then got into some decent gear!! - but thought they were great at the time.. hmmmmm). Any suggestions to an alternative, because I CANNOT find one anywhere....

The other earlier system mentioned is a lot more powerful than the Bose sound dock which only has one inbuilt battery!!!! wasn't that impressed with the sound of sound dock either.
