Polk TSi300 vs RTI8

I'm looking to buy a new set of speakers. I have an Marantz PM 7001 integrated amp, which uses a phono and a computer as its input sources. The system would be used exclusively for listening to (classical) music. Polk has come highly recommended to me, and I've found that I can get a new pair of the Polk TSi300's or an excellent condition pair of the discontinued RTI8's for about the same price ($350/pair). I wonder if anyone has any recommendation about which of the two would be the better purchase.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Speakers

Neither one of those speakers is going to be very good for classical music listening.

The sound from them is not going to be particularly pleasant. You won't be very happy with them, IMO.

I would suggest that you spend $350 on a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers, which will sound much much better.

They have a very nice sound, and good mid-bass.

If you want more bass, then add a subwoofer at some point.
