I think you have made some very good choices there.

I suggest that you consider the Klipsch SUB12HG rather than the BIC, however. IMO it is a better sub and it is $299 from Amazon now.

The OPPO BDP-103 is an excellent Bluray/ CD/ SACD player that is simply amazing for its modest $499 price; I can't recommend it enough. IMO there is nothing that comes close performance-wise for much under $1000. You can order it online direct from OPPO.

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for awhile on these forums among others trying to put together my first real 5.1. I have to say, with so many options its been a little overwhelming. But i think with what i have planned it should suit my needs nicely.

I just thought i would run it by some folks who know more about these items than i do. I havent been able to listen to any of the speakers on my list since no stores in my area carry any of them. So all i have to go on is reviews and forum posts.

The room is fairly large, 23' x 45'                                                                                                                It will be mostly for movies probably 80/20 movies /music

My budget for speakers, AVR, and blu ray/CD player is around $2000

  this is what im thinking.

Wharfedale diamond 10.2 for fronts ($450), wharfedale diamond 10sr for surrounds ($230), Wharfedale diamond 10cc center ($250), BIC PL200 12" sub ($330), Denon AVR 1712 ($400) thats about $1660 and leaves me a bit for blu ray and cd player but im still looking for those.

any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome, thanks
